Confidence is Grown in the Waiting

Confidence is Grown in the Waiting

Seeking the goodness of the Lord is what helps us remain confident in His work in our lives. Learning to seek His goodness is something we must practice daily. This is where we grow our strength to wait on God.

It is in waiting for God that we are stretched to have the capacity for more. It is that time that teaches us what He has for our lives rather than what we think we want or need according to the world. Waiting shapes our perspective to focus on Him and not our circumstances.

This is why we can take heart. His goodness is everywhere we search for it. Placing our focus on these things will change our outlook and ultimately show us His will.

Our will must be purified to meet His will. This is what happens in the waiting. Showing ourselves and Him that we can seek His goodness no matter what, is what gives us all the confidence in the world in the face of what the world says is impossible.

I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Wait for the Lord; be strong and take heart and wait for the Lord.

Psalm 27:13-14 NIV

Considerations for your planner:

  • Are you seeking His goodness in everything? Write down what you are seeking today.

A Prayer for Our Community:

Lord, Thank You for all that You do in our lives. Help us to make seeking Your goodness the center of our lives. We want to grow in our confidence in the path of our lives. We want to have a sense of peace that You are in everything and that You will provide. That happens when we seek You always. We seek You now and will continue to make this our automatic response in all we do. Amen.
